MachinePix Weekly #57
Next week: Andrew Zolty of studio Breakfast. This week's most popular post was a bougie bathtub 🛀
The interview with Andrew Zolty of studio Breakfast will be published next week!
The most popular post this week was a decadent bathtub. If you find yourself in Granges-Paccot, Switzerland, you can stop by the Auberge aux 4 Vents (“Four Winds Inn”) and ask for the Cupidon suite.
I’m always looking for interesting people to interview, have anyone in mind?

The Week in Review
This micromanipulator is fully mechanical. If you go down the rabbit hole of digitally-controlled micromanipulators, you can get down to 100nm movement resolution—or roughly 0.1% the width of a human hair.
Better views of the underground bin system here (with a different truck). There’s no garbage day in Amsterdam, you just take out some trash with you every time you step out.
It seems like the right flap makes an extraneous movement at the end; I wonder if it’s an accident or if it’s a “check” motion to ensure the folded t-shirt is within the dimensions of the bag.
Postscript
I can’t believe it took me this long to try this Taiwanese x New York cuisine. Given to me during a visit to the offices of The Prepared.
If you enjoyed this newsletter, forward it to friends (and interesting enemies). I am always looking to connect with interesting people and learn about interesting machines—reach out.
